George Elias is the principal of Elias Financial Services.

George has a B.Comm. (with merit) from the University of NSW and a Diploma of Financial Planning (Dip. FP). He has been a Certified Practising Accountant member of CPA Australia since September 1989 and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited (FPA) between November 1996 and June 2020. George is also accredited as a specialist SMSF adviser with the SMSF Association of Australia and he has successfully completed the Company Directors' course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors GAICD.

George has been providing financial/accounting advice as principal of Elias Financial Services since July 1991 to a wide range of personal and small/medium business clients, and provided investment advice as an authorised representative of Count Financial from June 1992 to June 2020. Since stepping back from providing financial planning advice, George has concentrated on tax effective Asset Protection and Estate Planning strategies for our clients. George also heads up the mortgage broking arm of the business providing tax effective loan structuring advice.

Besides spending time with his family outside of work, George enjoys tennis, skiing and playing guitar in a Classic Rock covers band.

Erika Wickman joined Elias Financial Services in February 2012, returning to the workforce after several years raising a family. She shares the administration tasks with Jill and enjoys the work/life balance. Erika originally trained as a chef before heading overseas to travel. She has also worked in various admin/secretarial roles.

Eva Wei joined Elias Financial Services as a trainee accountant in July 2010. She has been assisting clients with preparation of their tax returns, annual financial accounts and quarterly BASs.

In August 2014, she became a Certified Practising Accountant. With more than 7 years experience in tax and financial services, she has developed a variety of professional skills and client service experience.

Megan Stevenson joined Elias Financial Services in October 2014 as a part-time administration assistant. She prepares documents for the Self Managed Super Funds, new Companies and other tasks. Megan has many years' experience in administrative and secretarial roles across a wide range of industries including insurance, pharmaceutical and mining.

Kalaivani Kandhakumar has worked for a range of Australian and Indian accounting firms, most recently, during 2021, taking a maternity leave position for a firm in Melbourne. She is Xero certified and has had 5 years experience as an accountant. Kalai is partway through her Chartered Accountant qualifications and is working towards obtaining her full qualification as soon as possible.

Kalai comes to us from the reputable accounting firm ‘AccSource’ based in Chennai, India. EFS has been engaging with AccSource for several years now to manage our peak load periods. Kalai’s referees, both in Australia and India speak glowingly of her attitude and ability.

In her free time Kalai enjoys reading novels and writing thrillers! Kalai’s motto is “With great power comes great responsibility”.
